COMMON WARRANTY QUESTIONS

WHAT IS COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY?

All Quantum fishing rods, reels, and combos are warranted against defects in workmanship and/or materials under Quantum’s 5-year warranty starting on the original date of purchase from an authorized retailer. This warranty extends only to the original purchaser and user of the rod, reel, or combos and may not be transferred.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY?

Abuse, misuse, normal wear and tear, intentional damage, fire, theft, loss, neglect, lack of proper maintenance, used for commercial purposes or products that have been altered or modified without the permission of the Quantum brand.

DOES A QUANTUM ROD, REEL OR COMBO NEED TO BE REGISTERED TO BE COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY?

No, but proof of purchase MUST be provided when submitting a claim and registering your product at purchase. Alternatively, Quantum gear can be registered (with proof of purchase) online at quantumfishing.com under the “Support” section.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET QUANTUM GEAR BACK?

Although time varies, repair usually takes about three weeks.

How does a consumer submit a claim?

1. Contact customer support via email or at 800-588-9030 (international calls: 918-836-5581, option 1).
If you live outside the U.S. or Canada, please contact your dealer for warranty assistance.

2. FOR REEL REPAIR: Package and ship the product to an authorized service center. In the package you must include the following:

Name, address, phone number and email
If you haven’t registered the product online, a copy of the sales receipt for proof of purchase
An explanation of what is wrong with the product

FOR ROD REPAIR: Please email us at email.quantum@zebco.com. We will need the following information.

Name, address, phone number
Where and when the rod was purchased
We will also need pictures of where the rod is broken and the model on the rod.

3. Once our warranty department receives your product, we will process the claim and determine if it is covered by the warranty. If it is covered, we’ll ship the repaired or replacement product and provide a tracking number. If it is not covered by the warranty, we’ll be in touch to let you know. Warrantied products will be returned via ground unless other arrangements are made prior to shipment.

QUANTUM LIMITED WARRANTY

QUANTUM branded products are warranted for a period of five (5) years from the date of original retail sale date to the original retail consumer when purchased directly from Quantum or an Authorized Quantum Reseller with proof of purchase against defects in workmanship and/or materials when used normally. This warranty is offered only to the original purchaser or user of the rod, reel, combo. QUANTUM reserves the right to make all decisions, at our sole discretion, regarding whether a claim qualifies as eligible warranty work. During the warranty period, QUANTUM brand, at its option, will repair or replace the product covered under this warranty. Other than the shipping and handling charges, no charge will be made for such repair or replacement. A dated sales receipt must accompany all warranty claims. Please note that this warranty does not cover products purchased from unauthorized resellers, rod damage or loss resulting from misuse, abuse, alteration, direct or consequential damages caused by attempted or completed repairs completed by anyone other than a Quantum Authorized Warranty Service Agent, neglect, accident, Act of God, or shipping damages.

QUANTUM BRAND SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR LOSS OF USE AND ALL DIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL AND/OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARE EXCLUDED FROM THIS WARRANTY TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. IMPLIED WARRANTIES ARE LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THIS WARRANTY. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS OR THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER LEGAL RIGHTS THAT MAY VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.

The warranties described herein shall be the sole and exclusive warranties granted by QUANTUM brand and shall be the sole and exclusive remedy available to the purchaser. Correction of defects, in the manner and time period described herein, shall constitute complete fulfillment of all liabilities and responsibilities of QUANTUM brand to the purchaser with regard to this product, and shall constitute full satisfaction of all claims, whether based on contract, negligence, strict liability or otherwise. QUANTUM brand shall not be liable or in any way responsible for any damages or defects caused by repairs or attempted repairs performed by anyone other than an authorized servicer. Nor shall QUANTUM brand be liable, or in any way responsible, for any incidental or consequential property damage. QUANTUM brand reserves the right to amend or change this warranty at any time.

No dealer, retailer, agent, or employee of QUANTUM brand is authorized to make any modification, extension, or addition to the warranty. If any term is held to be illegal or unenforceable, the legality or enforceability of the remaining terms shall not be affected or impaired.
