Tracing his roots to fishing with his grandfather for redfish and speckled trout in the bayous of his native Louisiana, Gerald Spohrer went from serving in the military and working in chemical refineries to becoming a full-time professional angler. Cutting his teeth in Bassmaster Opens and Elite Series events and qualifying for his first Bassmaster Classic in 2019, Sphorer has recorded eight Top 10s and thirteen Top 20s in his career, going on to compete in the Major League Fishing Bass Pro Tour for its inaugural season and becoming one the newest members of the Quantum pro lineup in 2019.
