Quantum's revolutionary controlled Line Management System (LMS) virtually eliminates the hassles associated with traditional line roller and bail designs. Our new Rocket Roller system eusures the line is precisely directed onto the PT-bearing-supported line roller to reduce line twist. Another benefit of the LMS system is the new Pocket Rotor design. The bail arms open wider into a protected pocket, helping to consistently shed line and prevent it from wrapping on the bail arm during the cast.

The legendary TiMAG titanium bail is made from super-elastic nickel titanium which will never bend out of shape. TiMAG also replaces traditional bail springs with a magnetic trip system that will never wear out. TiMAG III adds a more focused magnetic flux, providing improved trip reliability, a quicker trip point, and a 30° greater bail opening for decreased line slap during casts.

Quantum engineers have developed the highest performing bearings in the industry using technologies originally developed for large turbine aircraft engines. In order to create the smoothest reels found anywhere, our engineers designed a hybrid bearing utilizing nitrogen-injected stainless steel, combined with special polymers that shield the bearings to reduce friction and noise, and provide a carrier which protects each bearing from the elements. These new nitrogen-injected alloys are stronger and more able to resist pitting and corrosioin under extreme stresses.

Ceramic coatings are used on Quantum PT drag systems and other components that are exposed to extremely high temperatures to reduce thermal fatigue. By virtually eliminating the heat build-up from a long fish run, the drag can run smoother and last longer with minimal need for maintenance. Combined with Quantum's exclusive Hot Sauce lubrication, our ceramic drag systems out-perform the competition every time. Developed for tournament professionals, the ceramic drag system on Performance Tuned reels has been tested to the max, under every condition imaginable.

The only magnetic roller clutch - in any industry! A strong magnetic ring replaces traditional springs for quicker engagement and better corrosion resistance. The integral design and the industry's largest rollers can withstand over 2 times the load without deflection, and provide better cold weather performance than standard roller bearings.

Quantum engineers have reduced the weight of Performance Tuned spinning reels by designing a new skeletal ThinLine body constructed from high-strength aluminum. The proprietary ThinLine design also eliminates flex, even under the most extreme loads, while providing the most comfortable ergonomics ever built into a spinning reel.

Quantum reels with MaxCast aluminum spools give you the ability to cast greater distances, with greater accuracy. The Long Stroke shape of our spinning reel spools was developed to minimize line friction on both the cast and on the retrieve, and to also minimize the stress put on the line during hard battles.

Quantum Hot Sauce has become one of the most popular lubricants in the fishing industry for one reason – it's simply the best oil and grease available for fishing reels. The oil's low viscosity levels yield a freer rotation of moving parts, and it bonds molecularly with the base metal for near permanent lubrication. The low-viscosity polymers in Hot Sauce grease and exclusive tackifiers hold the grease on the wear surfaces longer. The bright red color lets the angler know that their reels are protected.

Working with marine experts, Quantum exclusive Saltgard finish protects with a dense molecular barrier on the aluminum, followed by two seperate corrosion inhibitors, primer paint, a base coat, and finished with a clear coat for the ultimate protection from the harsh saltwater environment.
