When selected, the Flippin’ Switch allows the angler the ability to depress the thumbar, make a short cast, and re-engage the reel without ever turning the handle to cover more water faster.  Walleye fishermen will benefit from the feature for back-trolling, allowing the angler to release line and re-engage the reel with one hand while the other hand operates the motor.

The pinion gear is held exactly in place by two ball bearings so there is no contact with the spool shaft during casting, thus eliminating any friction.  With a properly adjusted ACS system, casts are freakishly long.
